We are looking for a Head of Software Development who collaborates with various stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and business leaders, to ensure that the technical solution(s) align with the organization’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates and makes proposals across several teams on their engineering work, and helps their team members make informed decisions in alignment with the sub-department strategic plans.

• Ensuring that the system is scalable, secure, and maintainable.

• Identifying and mitigating technical risks and issues that could impact the success of the project.

• Solves technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity for their sub-department.

• Leads the selection and adoption of new technologies and tools that will be used in the development of the system.

• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team to ensure that the system is implemented according to the defined architecture

• Play a central role in technical, business, and organizational contributions affecting the sub-department/department.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.

• Knowledgeable about all phases of the software development life cycle and solution delivery for web, client-server, and cloud-based systems.

• Subject matter expertise in Financial Services technology.

• extensive knowledge of AWS and microservices, kubernetes, docker, aws, postgres, java

• Good knowledge of modern software engineering principles and best practices.

• Proven track record of work experience as an developer or system architect
