Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide a department of 50 tech people through management and mentorship, performance feedback and career development.

• Unlocking blockers for developers by managing key partners and integrations

• Contributing to recruitment activities and processes

• Making hiring decisions based on organizational structure to ensure that each team would benefit from additional resources

• Setting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the Engineering department and team members

• Developing standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are clear, consistent and met by technology standpoint

• Grow technology platform, operating at-scale, requiring focus on performance, security, and reliability

• Focus on planning for delivery

• Drive positive change within systems/process to optimally deliver on commitments

• Ensuring Engineering owned services availability (BaaS Services)

• Service management knowledge, preferably ITIL

• Taking responsibility for cost optimization and budgeting for both tooling and human resources for the engineering department

• Manage partnerships & communication

Tech Requirements:

• Has a broad overview of tools used in enterprise tech company including development tools

• Service management knowledge, preferably ITIL

• knowledge around SaaS tooling and best practices

• Hands on previous experience with scripting languages

• Good knowledge of AWS, Google Workspaces, Atlassian

Additional Requirements:

• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to promote and develop change

• Previous experience with people management and organizational structure advancement, preferably in a fintech/start-up industry

• Proven track record of managing Engineering owned services

• Experience in setting-up KPI-s and/or OKR-s for engineering department

• Well demonstrated skill set for planning against key deliverables
