Summary of Role:
Position: FP&A Analyst
Location: London
Start date: ASAP
Work Pattern: Hybrid
What you’ll do:
- Support the Head of FP&A, CFO and CEO in strategic financial decisions
- Support the annual budget cycle, develop consolidated and department/country-based budgets
- Support the production of periodic re-forecasts, ensuring risks and opportunities are highlighted
- Operate, review, run and monitor daily, weekly and monthly reporting (management pack, dashboard, KPI trackers)
- Monthly P&L analysis comparing actuals vs forecasts and budgets
- Maintain key metrics to help provide insights to business performance e.g. CAC, churn, acquisition productivity, etc.
- Develop effective working relationships with departmental heads and country managers to formulate budgets and provide insightful and commercial commentary
- Business partner with various departments in evaluating initiatives commercially
- Provide input and support for developing and improving processes and systems
- Cost benefit, business case analysis
What we want:
- Previous experience in a similar position, ideally in a fast-paced start-up or tech-enabled business
- Experience in financial modelling, what-if scenarios, dynamic inputs
- Experience in budget cycles covering several departments / stakeholders
- High level of competence in spreadsheet modelling is essential
- Experience in FP&A / Commercial finance / financial modelling roles, providing business partnering to a range of operating units
- Experience in working closely with an Accounting team and an understanding of accounting (GL, revenue recognition, accruals, cost allocation).
- Proactive, with a hands-on approach
- Strong analytical skills and ability to present financial analysis from a business perspective
- Commercially aware, structured and process driven mindset, likes “clean” Excel tables and good attention to detail
- Numerate, Logical, Enquiring, Analytical with the ability to “drill-down”
- Good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
- Google Sheets knowledge (preferred but not essential)
- Experience writing SQL to extract and manipulate data (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with R / Python to generate actionable insight and analytics (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with modern BI tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc (preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience working with enterprise accounting software (preferred but not essential)
- Desire to improve & streamline process
