What you’ll be doing

The Head of People will help us create amazing possibilities for our team and to help Monese become a game changing place to work. We love to see creative thinking, testing new ways of working, while remaining connected to people in a personable way! This role will help help our people grow and that will in turn drive business success.

  • Quickly understands the core business goals and how this will inform the people strategy.
  • Creates and drives the people strategy for Monese in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Leads the people team by ensuring they are suitably supported, coached, recognised, and rewarded to perform at the highest level of expectations.
  • Develops and implements an appropriate talent strategy that will support the growth of the business through acquisition of talent and then identifies the measures to support the development of talent once on board.
  • Together with the leadership team helps develop the organisational culture by focusing on the following key areas like employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, organisation structure and design.
  • Creates and drives the employee experience through key activities like onboarding and offboarding, recognition and reward, performance management processes, career development processes, development of employee the value proposition.
  • Take full responsibility for the people budget.
  • Works closely with leadership team and people team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention across the organization.
  • Works closely with the finance team to build the appropriate total reward mechanism for each location. This includes compensation, incentives, benefits, learning, work life balance, and recognition.
  • Develops insights and metrics based on data, analysis and reporting that will develop solutions, programmes and policies.
  • Responsible for the investigation and handling of all complex employee relations issues.

What we’re looking for from you

  • Relevant experience leading HR/people teams across multiple geographies.
  • A track record of success delivering people programmes ideally in the FinTech space. 
  • Ability to connect well with individuals and to work empathetically and compassionately at all levels by building and maintaining key relationships.
  • Able to work both operationally and strategically.
  • Broad generalist experience of all functional areas of the people function, particularly talent management (acquisition and development), compensation and benefits.
  • Ability to balance commercial, risk, and people priorities.
  • Comfortable presenting to all levels including senior leadership and the board.
  • Experience of running projects.
  • Relevant academic background in human resources through a recognised tertiary or professional organisation.
